Welcome to the site of The Dutch Foundation for Registered Nurses in Israël.

The foundation was established in 1978 by Ms. Liliënstern, a Dutch resident who lived in Israël. There was a lot of work done by volunteers in the Kibbutzim and she thought that would also be possible in nursing homes.

In Haifa was already a Dutch elderly house located (Beth Joles); Here then is a sickroom decorated by the foundation.

In Herzelia there was built in the late 70s a new Dutch elderly house; Queen Juliana Parents Home (now called Beth Juliana) it was also officially opened by Queen Juliana from The Netherlands.

Our main purpose is to support small projects in the health care institutions in Israël.
We also arrange for volunteers who want to help for a period in a care institution.

The foundation is composed entirely of volunteers. Some board members have regular contact with with the various projects
and go -if possible- also to visit them.

Three times a year there is a mailing with current information.
